1. Name?

Ryan Christine Rogge

2. You play softball for Western Kentucky, what year are you in?

Sophomore

3. How did you choose Western Kentucky?

my friend kit was recruited by the old coach and when the new coach came to watch kit play she saw me. I went for a visit and loved the school , program , players and the area is so friendly and laid back. Coach Rachael was the only college coach that recruited me that didnt act like she was way better then me, she made me feel like we were equals.

4. I read online that you are a Pitcher, is that the position you have always played? If not, what are the other positions you have played?

I actually started off as a catcher and one of the games i caught i went back for a pop up and actually hit the back stop so hard that i knocked myself out. After that i decided i would rather be the one in the circle, far away from the fences! and i have been pitching since i was eight.

5. I was looking through the stats and saw you only had six at bats this year, but you did have two hits, when you get the chance to bat, is that something you look forward to?

I absolutely love hitting, it gives me a chance to help my team out in two ways and it also lets me be in control two different ways. I only got two at bats because my pitching and mental aspect of the game weren't at a college level yet. Next year i will get to see more at bats.

6. Who is your biggest rival in the Sun Belt Confrence?

well Lafayette is the obvious choice because they have dominated the sun belt every year, but i think troy was the team that we had the most bad blood with.

7. What are your favorite sports to watch? Who are your favorite teams?

Besides softball baseball is hands down my favorite sport and i absolutely adore the braves! The first major league game i went to Ryan klesko busted open a pitcher named bryds nose and there were two fights. I was so amazed with how crazy the fans were going and how much of a contact sport it was! I can tell you that i am so jealous of anyone who get the chance to play major league baseball in front of all those fans!

8. Do you play any other sports other than softball? If so, which ones?

I use to play tennis but i quit because i hated that it wasn't a team sport. Also when i decided to become a pitcher my parents told me i had to chose a sport because it takes alot of time to because a good pitcher.

9. What are your plans for the future?

I would love to finish my college career with westerns 1st conference championship in softball and i want to go to the world series and just make a name for western. I would give me left arm to play in the womens professional softball league.

10. Fun question, if you change one thing in the world, what would it be and why?
I would change the fact that men sports have a larger fan base. I would have everyone watching and worshiping all the womens sports. You know just how it should be...
