The Omaha Roller Girls had another successful match on 03-15-2008. There was a lot of hype surrounding this
event as this was their last match before they start taking on teams from around the country. The Victoria Secret Service
(VSS) and the Lowdown Lucys (LDL) were ready to battle it out in front of a very large crowd. In the last match LDL won in
the extra bout as they were tied at the end of regulation. In this match VSS was looking for revenge and they proved they
were out to win.
The first period was action packed and the VSS team was on a mission from the start.
Right away Mikillya scored a point during the first jam for the VSS. There were some big hits and the girls were taking each
other down hard. After the first period VSS took control and led 56 to 24 over LDL. During the second period LDL started creeping
back into the match. But VSS took control with a few minutes to go and at the end of the second period the score was 93 to
69 VSS was still in the lead. When the third period started LDL made another run but it was short lived as well. VSS dominated
the entire match from the start and they won easily with a final score was 122 to 101 VSS over LDL.
The action will start really heating up as the next time the Omaha Roller Girls
have another match it will be against Fort Collins. Last year the Omaha Roller Girls were undefeated against other teams they
