 1. What is your name?

Huong Brown (that's pronounced 'Hong')

2. I know by the pictures on your profile you danced for KC Chiefs, How long did you dance for them?

I cheered/danced with the Kansas City Chiefs for 2 years.

3. What other teams have you danced for?

I also cheered/danced for the Kansas City T-Bones for 1 year (independent baseball league)

4. What was it like cheering at Arrowhead stadium in front of over 70,000 people?

It is an absolutely amazing experience to perform for 78,000+ fans at Arrowhead. It is thrilling, exciting and I get a chill that runs through my entire body! The best part is when you make eye contact with a fan who is just as excited about the experience of Game Day as you are and they are feeding off of your energy and enthusiasm and vice versa!

5. Who was/is your favorite player?

My favorite Chiefs player is Dante Hall. He's humble, philanthropic, extremely down to earth and knows how to pump up the crowd. He is a great part of the Kansas City community and especially for the children in the community, as they just adore him!

6. You told me your not dancing anymore, what are you currently doing now? Plans for the future?

I "retired" from cheering/dancing this year. I am currently in Reno, Nevada, working as a Special Events Coordinator at the Eldorado Hotel Casino. However, I cannot deny the passion I have for performing and I have plans to return to the realm of professional cheering/dancing in the next several years. Where and exactly when, I'm not certain, but when one feels this strongly about something, it's a sure bet not to ignore those feelings!

7. Have you played any other sports?

Aside from cheering/dancing, I have also participated in basketball, track & field, soccer, swim & dive and softball ever since I was in the 6th grade. I love most sports and think that it's a great way to learn to be a team player.

8. Who are your favorite sports teams?

My favorite sports teams are the Kansas City Chiefs (of course), San Francisco Giants (I used to live in the Bay area and have always loved them), Missouri Tigers (my alma mater) and the Chicago Bulls (I've been a fan since I was old enough to understand the game of basketball and haven't stopped since even though Phil Jackson, Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippin, and Horace Grant have long since left the organization).

9. What is the biggest myth about dancers/cheerleaders?

I think everyone has their pre-conceived notions of what a professional cheerleader/dancer is all about. I've heard pretty much every myth possible, and especially the "fake and no brains" comments, but when it all comes down to it, I think if one takes the time to get to know someone and can look past the uniform and the poms, they'll see that underneath all of that, she's just like a sister, daughter, or friend. I think all of us can easily be caught up in the glamorous world of cheering/dancing, but that's just one aspect of the role; we are also mentors, role models, athletes, philanthropists, students, professionals, mothers, daughters, sisters and best friends.

10. Fun question, If you could change one thing in the world what would it be and why?

The price of gasoline! Okay, just kidding kind of. There are so many things I would change if I could, but when it all comes down to it, in order to change something, thought processes must first be changed in order for that change to last and be effective in the long run. So, I would change the way people think and have each individual be more open minded and less judgmental. I think if I could change that one thing first, then any other change resulting from that could be so much more effective.
